-- For Sale -- In preparation Reviews of the book have been quite favorable: in the Village Voice's Sexy Gift Guide 5.0, Tristan Taormino described it as "an indispensible book on the subject", Blowfish described it as "hot hot hot ...", while SexHerald rated it four stars. See also AVN, with more reviews coming soon. "Intimate Invasions" Table of Contents: Author's Note; Prologue; Initiation; The Mechanics of Enema Administration; The Enema Bandit; A Phillipic on Morality; The Reorientation; The Punishment; Twelve Steps to Effective Anticipation; Over the Milking Stool; and, Ageplay from the "Punishment Book." By way of example, I have reproduced below the headers to each of the twelve text sections of Chapter 7, "Twelve Steps to Effective Anticipation": "1. Whenever possible, the recipient should be informed of the approach of the procedure well in advance, allowing her time to come to terms with its inevitability as well as to purchase the clothes she will be expected to wear during her preparation and for the ceremony itself. A more visceral reminder of the preparation and ceremony is often appropriate." ... "2. It is also appropriate to have the recipient purchase some of the items used for her preparation and for the ceremony. She should be informed, however, that what occurs will not be under her control, and that there will be equipment available for use that is more exotic and appropriate than any of the basic items she has been instructed to obtain." ... "3. In order to encourage meditations upon the upcoming preparation and ceremony, the recipient should be required to write lines or by some other means convey her understanding of what is expected of her, as well as of what she herself expects will occur." ... "4. The recipient should be given final written instructions on the morning of the proceedings, and these instructions should be delivered in a way known to the recipient, thereby maximizing the recipient’s anticipation of the day’s activities. She should be required to acknowledge receipt of these final instructions; lines are effective here as well." ... "5. Some procedure should be employed to monitor the recipient’s state of anticipation throughout the day. Periodic phone calls are particularly effective in this regard." ... "6. The recipient should be instructed in advance on how to prepare for the arrival of her lover, her disciplinarian, her nurse, or whoever it is that will be carrying out the proceedings. Preparation should be deliberate and deliberative, and should be accompanied by audiovisual aids for the recipient to ponder; it is often appropriate to supply a camera (still or video) or even tape recorder so that the recipient can record her preparations for later review." ... "7. Part of the process of preparation should include practicing the positions that will be employed during the procedures. Although these positions should be rehearsed immediately before the actual events, practice well in advance of these events has been shown to have a salutary effect on the recipient." ... "8. Immediately before the preparation and ceremony the recipient should be shown the room or rooms where the procedures will be carried out." ... "9. The recipient should also be asked to examine the objects that will be employed. It is advisable to have her arrange them for use, to explain their function." ... "10. When all is ready, the recipient should assume the first position, and present herself to her lover, her disciplinarian, her nurse, or whoever it is that will be carrying out the proceedings. She should maintain that position, for as long as is deemed appropriate. Then, and only then, the preparations should begin." ... "11. If the Punishment Podium or Enema Chair are to be used, the recipient should position them in advance. In the case of the Enema Chair, she should ensure that the mechanism is working correctly, and that a graded series of punishment nozzles are available." ... "12. Similarly, if the occasion calls for the Sodomy Stool, the recipient should place the Stool in the spot reserved for it well in advance of her preparation for the ceremony in which it will be employed. When the Sodomy Stool is used, the recipient should also make the requisite preparations for the White Towel Test, and should ensure that the bedpan is available. The straps on the Stool, while not always required, should be tested by the recipient to see that they are in good working order. This is best accomplished by instructing her to bend over the stool and loosely secure the ankle, waist and wrist straps. A sodomy gown should of course be worn."
